Video Ads in Paper Magazines


The first-ever video advertisement will be published in a traditional paper magazine in September.

The video-in-print ads will appear in select copies of the US show business title Entertainment Weekly.

The slim-line screens – around the size of a mobile phone display – also have rechargeable batteries.

Editor’s note: Yeah, this is an advancement, but is it really a good idea? What happens to the thin screen when you have to throw away or recycle the magazine. It seems to be very ostentacious. Do we really need a new way to be reminded to watch How I Met Your Mother Mondays on CBS?
